The ARC, launched in 2019, began as a program dedicated to nurturing and highlighting emerging theatrical talent from Atlantic Canada.

Since then, it has broadened its mission to include showcasing outstanding theatrical works by leading theatre makers from all over Canada.

Recent productions such as Waiting for Godot (2024), Cottagers and Indians (2024) and The Woman in Black (2023), and have illustrated the significant impact of this initiative.

The Turn Of The Screw - Performance by the Atlantic Repertory

Our vibrant, cosmopolitan community merits such top-tier performances, and the ARC is uniquely positioned to deliver them. Work is currently underway on the Courthouse Stage, which will soon serve as ARC’s permanent home and a cultural hub for Atlantic Canadian artists.

This cutting-edge venue is set to not only retain local talent but also attract artists from across the nation and around the world to New Brunswick.

By consistently setting high standards with each ARC production, we are enhancing Saint John’s standing in the theatrical community.
