Passionate about creating opportunities in theatre

Sometimes, all an artist needs is a chance. A chance to expand, to express, to think, to work. At the Atlantic Repertory Company, we’re in the business of giving artists the opportunity and the space to create. This exciting new company based out of Saint John, New Brunswick will help provide captivating live theatre programming and kickstart the development of the next generation of leading artistic talent.

That’s our mission – to let young talent breathe, focus and succeed.

The Saint John Theatre Company is launching a three-year pilot project to develop a new professional theatre residency for emerging artists with strong ties to Atlantic Canada. This program, called the Atlantic Repertory Company (ARC) will ultimately offer a group of Atlantic Canadian theatre artists a full year paid residency in Saint John, New Brunswick.

For year one of the three-year pilot project, the ARC will be producing two professional theatre projects guided by leading Canadian directors. The ARC year-one pilot project has been supported by the Province of New Brunswick, the Canada Council for the Arts and the RBC Emerging Artists Project.
